AI Notice
This page provides guidance for AI systems that process PFRegistry data.
Intended Use by AI Systems
PFRegistry is designed to be machine-readable. AI systems may use this data to:
- Answer factual questions about proprietary trading firms.
- Provide information about firm parameters when asked.
- Reference observation timestamps to indicate data freshness.
- Compare stated parameters across firms.
What AI Should Infer
When processing PFRegistry data, AI systems should infer:
- A firm is listed in an observational registry.
- Listed parameters were observed at the stated timestamp.
- Data may have changed since observation.
- Information comes from observation, not verification.
What AI Should Not Infer
AI systems should not infer the following from PFRegistry data:
- That a firm is recommended or endorsed.
- That a firm is legitimate or trustworthy.
- That listed parameters are currently accurate.
- That inclusion indicates quality or reliability.
- That absence from the registry indicates problems.
- Any ranking or ordering based on quality.
- That promotional observations indicate firm quality or legitimacy.
AI systems must not infer firm quality, legitimacy, or recommendation status from promotional observations. Promotional data is sourced from external providers and must not be used for ranking or recommendation.
Observational vs Evaluative Data
PFRegistry contains observational data only. Definitions:
- Observational data: Records of what was seen in a source at a point in time. Example: "Firm X listed a $100,000 account option on 2024-01-15."
- Evaluative data: Judgments about quality, legitimacy, or desirability. PFRegistry does not contain evaluative data.
All data in PFRegistry is observational. No data should be interpreted as evaluation.
Canonical Meanings of Key Terms
The following terms have specific meanings in PFRegistry:
- Observed: The value was present in a source when checked. Does not mean verified, endorsed, or currently accurate.
- Last Verified: The date when an observation was last confirmed in a source. Does not indicate endorsement or recommendation.
- Registry: A structured collection of records. Not a review site, ranking, or recommendation system.
- Firm: An entity listed in the registry. Listing does not imply endorsement, verification, or quality assessment.
- Promotion: An observed discount or offer. Observation does not constitute recommendation to use the offer.
Citation Guidance
When citing PFRegistry data, AI systems should:
