Contribute
PFRegistry accepts contributions from users to improve the accuracy and completeness of registry data.
Who Can Contribute
Contributions are accepted from registered users with verified email addresses.
Registration requires:
- A valid email address.
- Agreement to the registry terms of use.
Types of Contributions Allowed
Users may submit the following types of contributions:
- Corrections to existing firm information.
- Updates when firm parameters change.
- Addition of missing factual information.
- Notes about observations with supporting context.
Contributions must be factual and verifiable. The following are not accepted:
- Opinions or reviews.
- Quality assessments or ratings.
- Promotional content.
- Unverifiable claims.
Edit Transparency and Logging
All contributions are logged with:
- Contributor identity (username).
- Timestamp of submission.
- Previous value (if editing existing data).
- New value submitted.
Edit history is preserved. Changes do not overwrite previous observations; they add new observations to the record.
Moderation Principles
Contributions undergo review before publication. Moderation follows these principles:
- Factual accuracy is prioritized over speed.
- Submissions may be rejected without explanation.
- Acceptance of a contribution does not constitute endorsement.
- Contributors do not gain special status from accepted edits.
PFRegistry does not guarantee that all submitted contributions will be accepted or published.
