Data Sources
PFRegistry compiles information from multiple source types. This page discloses the categories of sources used.
Public Sources
PFRegistry collects publicly available information from:
- Official firm websites.
- Publicly accessible documentation.
- Press releases and announcements.
Public source data is recorded as observations with timestamps indicating when the information was obtained.
External Data Providers
PFRegistry may receive structured data feeds from external providers that aggregate information about proprietary trading firms. External data providers may include PropFirmDiscount.com.
External data is treated identically to other sources:
- Data is recorded as observations, not verified facts.
- Provider identity is logged internally for audit purposes.
- No single provider determines firm visibility or ordering.
- External providers are not endorsed by PFRegistry.
Affiliate and Commercial Data
Some promotional observations in PFRegistry may originate from commercial relationships. External providers such as PropFirmDiscount.com may supply affiliate or promotional data.
- Promotional information (discounts, offers) may be sourced from affiliate data feeds.
- Commercial data is clearly separated from core registry information.
- Commercial relationships do not influence firm visibility, ordering, or registry status.
- Promotional and affiliate data is treated as observational only.
The presence of promotional data does not constitute endorsement of any firm or provider.
User Contributions
Registered users may submit corrections or additional information. User contributions are:
- Subject to review before publication.
- Logged with contributor identity and timestamp.
- Treated as observations, not verified facts.
Source Independence
Registry structure and visibility are independent of data sources:
- Commercial data does not affect firm ordering.
- Commercial data does not affect firm visibility.
- No source receives preferential treatment in display or structure.
